My Sub Category store is displaying entire merchant’s store, why?
Answer:
Merchants update their category information often. Categories can be removed or migrated to a different location in the category structure. When a category is removed or migrated to a different location, the existing CategoryID becomes invalid and unavailable.
If you have created a sub category store from single merchant’s data feed and that category is no longer available, GoldenCAN system will automatically display the entire merchant’s data feed store instead of displaying an error message on an empty page.
If you have created a sub category store from multiple merchant’s data feeds and that category is no longer available, GoldenCAN system will automatically display the main page of multiple merchant’s store which contains the list of the merchants in your store.
This will ensure that your users have some categories and products to shop from, instead of seeing an error message.
