If thousands of other users are also using the GoldenCAN Store Integration on their websites, can my website be penalized by a search engine for having duplicate content?

If you are using JavaScript to display the GoldenCAN integration on your website, your website is only displaying GoldenCAN’s hosted data. Your web sites actually do not have any physical data available. When a search engine spider crawls your website, they only find one line of JavaScript code on your webpage and no other duplicate content. Using this one line of JavaScript is almost the same as using a banner on your website.
If you use the GetData, GetXML or GetRSS features then you have actual content on your website. We use many methods to make sure that we serve different content to different users such as randomizations. We see many GoldenCAN users' websites listed in the Top 10 results in major search engines due to the data served by GoldenCAN. However, we can not guarantee how a search engine will see your website towards duplicate content.
